The flywheel and cam for the points uses a shared woodruf key. That key in my engine snapped and I can't get the cam off to replace the key. I have pried up on it, but, it wouldn't budge. How can I get it off?

Get a replacement cam and key ready, then:

Vice grips vertically on the cam, vice grips horizontally on the vice grips and a medium sized hammer smacking upward on the second vice grip should do it. The high carbon stainless used on those can rust and/or the cam may have shifted from the correct position on the shaft and may be binding on a broken part of the key.
