this is just as the title says a pointless rant. today I got the rest of the rotted floor out of my 79 crestliner project so that I could drop in the new floor and epoxy. after I got all the dust and particles and dirt etc sucked up with my trust shop vac I noticed DAYLIGHT! the idiot who had the boat before me layed new plywood over the rotted floor and screwed it down to the old floor. I thought the screws landed between the hull and the stringers WRONG! 7 screw holes on each side through the hull. how can anyone be that stupid? easily fixable but its just frustrating what else did he screw up when he cobbed it that I havent seen? grrrrr

Well it will help you look for the blunder's that may be hidden. Did he do any wiring? Look at the connections.

Same thing with my project boat. New floor over rotten old floor with two drywall screws through the hull. You beat me with your 7. Oh well.

I don't know rob. Drywall screws in a boat certainly gain bonus points.

yea he did "redo" the wiring I i tried to follow it to make a diagram and it was a tangled up mess so I asked my dad to start snipping so we could figure it out so he cut the entire ball out Ill definetly be asking lotsa questions about that soon lol
