Need a wiring schematic for a 2013 Polar Kraft Outlander 186 SC with a Yamaha 115 4 stroke outboard. Removed trolling motor and batteries and everything was fine. Removed the on-board trolling battery charger today. Outboard does not turn over now, the dash gauges don't work and the trim in throttle and on the outboard don't work either. All accessories work.

Is there a starting fuse / circuit breaker that might have tripped? Looked at all fuses / circuit breakers I could find but none blown or tripped.

Thanks,

Tom

I doubt seriously you're going to find a schematic for your boat. It's unlikely there ever was one. There IS a schematic for the engine (usually available in the owners manual), but the boat itself is generally wired by generic, industry wide "best practices", which can vary widely depending on who is doing the work.

I'm not familiar with your engine, but most I am familiar with carry their own fuses under the hood of the engine. The issue you are describing sounds like your issue may be there. The power for the instruments comes from the engine (via the large harness from the engine to the controls), via the large battery cables that hook directly to the battery.

If wired properly, any fuse panels on the boat will protect/affect only functions related to the boat (E.G. lights, radio, pumps, etc.).

Thanks, that explains why I couldn't find one. I looked for a fuse in / on the outboard but couldn't find one. About to take apart the Yamaha 703 controller to see if the internal fuses are blown.
