Re: POLICE CHASE!!!!!
I was just at a friends house last weekend. We were waiting outside for a food delivery, when a cop stopped by. He asked if we had seen a guy walking which we hadn't. 10 minutes later, the squad car is coming down the street, he turns his lights on and makes a U-Turn. We now see a guy walking down the street. <br /><br />He calls the guy over and asks his name. The guy tells him, then he tells the guy to get up against the car. This is 30 feet from me. The walking guy warns the cop that he better know what he is doing. At that point, the cop jumps out of the car, pulls out his 9mm, points it at the guy and yells at his to get down. The people with me, quickly exit to the house. I move closer to be in back of my van, but stay there until backup comes. I'm sure not going to watch a cop be killed by a criminal if I have a chance to help. But I sure will stay the heck out of the way. Just then, the food delivery shows up and they decide not to come into the driveway for a few minutes, but decide to just as backup is getting there. Those guys were shiking in their shoes.<br /><br />The thing turned out well. The guy had just broken into a house with a knife a block over, no one was hurt and the food was hot.<br /><br />I was not nervous, this time. I was neverous when I witnessed a take down with shotguns when I was in High School, and I was even more nervous when 5 squad cars full of cops screeched to a halt with guns drawn using their car doors for cover while stopping my friend and I who were riding double on a bike. We felt this was a little severe until we found out a couple people just robbed the gas station a few blocks away with a sawed off shotgun.
