tried and tried...couldn't start motor....I think I'll smash it.<br /><br />carb clean, getting fuel, got spark, compression good....I did notice that when I pulled the plugs after trying to start, there is black crusty crap on them....even when I squirted gas in the spark plugs holes, I still got nothing...like I'm getting no spark...but I checked the spark. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Smashing will certainly solve the problem, you should then know exactly what's wrong.

like what motor are we discussing? be careful with Violence, some years back my neighbor called the cops cause I unloaded six slugs from a model 500 mossberg in a lawnmower. but I never pulled the rope again .

You have to watch the violence! Up here in the paper a few years back I read about a guy that had a bad round of golf and slammed his driver against a concrete bench. The head broke off and the shaft stabbed him in the chest missed his ribs and hit his heart He died right there on the course. A game of golf should never be that bad

polly soooo hungry for quacker...<br /><br />it's a '76 9.9 rude...i've been tinkering with it, also got a '69 jonson 20 that's flawless, it's my baby....but this little rude is gonna get sold....<br /><br />violence gets the juices flowing...it's human nature (actually it's animal nature) we should not fight it or deny our natural urges just because it is no longer socially acceptable...if the mower was bad, it needed to be shot...period.
