I am ready to put the ply wood down for my floor and I need to coat it I was wondering what to use to coat the wood to waterproof it?
I see most say use POLYESTER RESIN

Here is my big question where do I buy it?
Do places like walmart, lowes, home depot or other places sell it?

Does any body know if they sell something I can use?

Yes, most of the 'big box' stores sell poly. I think for its waterproofing ability and cost the poly is the best route to go. Be sure to soak the edges as well.
Another product that comes to mind is CPES - an epoxy penetrating sealer. A little on the pricey side so stay with the polyester. My.$.02

Helppppppppppppp

I guess I have no idea what to look for.
I was in two stores ( walmart and a local hardware store ) and I saw stuff to waterproof wood but it did not say epoxy or poly.

What name brand product should I look for

The Home Depot carries the Bondo brand - called All Purpose Fiberglass Resin.
White can, black top, yellow bottom. It will have a plastic container top on the can which inside will be your tube of hardener - make sure it's there. Pretty useless stuff without it.

Try a marine supply store such as Boaters World or West Marine. On the web try www.uscomposites.com or www.raka.com WalMart, Lowes, Home Depot and other big box stores generally don't have the stuff in large quantitys or store employees that can actually help you get what you really need. Having said that I'll admit that I own a local hardware store and the tiny Bondo fiberglass kits that I have in stock cost me as much as what US Composites sells a quart of poly resin for. Good luck with your project.

I ill hit the local west marine in the morning 7-17-07 and see if they have the boaters resin 45.00 for 1 gallon. Buying local can be so nice at times
