Pontoon Dolphin fin or not??

I have an 06 pontoon. Just replaced my lower unit. Just wonder if dolphin fins help a pontoon at all??? I know they help a speed boat get on plane faster. Pontoons don't really need to plane out. I hope I am thinking correctly. OPINIONS???

I do not know a lot about 'toons, but they do not really plane. A Dolphin will really hurt, IMO.
What is your issue with the boat.?

No issue. Just wondering if I should put the fin on

of all boats needing a hydraulic jack plate in addition to tilt/trim, a pontoon would benefit the most.

since loading changes so significantly on a pontoon, to get optimal performance, you either assign people to sit in one location, or you play with engine height and trim every time someone moves

or in reality, sit back with a beer in hand and simply enjoy the water
