Those more familiar with those waters I'm sure will comment, but I took the ferry out there once and there would be no wy I would go on a toon. The large cabin cruisers were getting a rough ride. Maybe the day I was there was rough, but I am sure that conditions can change with the wind and leave you either stranded or taking a risky ride.

I wouldn't trust those waters, been there several times and it's not toonin waters.

My take would be toons & the Great Lakes :eek: generally not a good combo

Can't remember the companies name but a toon company ran one from Chicago to Macinac to show how good thier boats are, I would assume they had a chase boat just in case.

I suppose it could be done but it depends where you are starting from but I could see it getting pretty scary, been up there a few times,not in a boat, and it seemes like the water always had a pretty good chop to it.

As everyone else pointed out, you probably could do it but really don't want to.
