Bought a 2000 Tracker Bass Buggy 18 Pontoon Boat with the original trailer. The trailer is in good shape with the exception of the bunk board supports. They are severely corroded and two of the outside carpeted bunk boards have, essentially, fallen off. Obviously these no longer provide any support for the toons. Are these welded supports available, or will they need to be fabricated? Thanks

Sorry if this post is redundant. Didn't really know which forum category to post to.

Re: Pontoon Trailer bunk support repair/replace

I haven,t had this problem on my pontoon trailer..although i need to replace some of the wood..my problem is having the boat off it long enough to replace it. Some years ago i had that problem with an old bayliner. I took it to the local vo-tech shop and they welded new supports on for just the cost of the metal. Now this is kinda iffy hopefully the class is almost graduating and know what they are doing. Not sure if you have anything like that where you are. but just a suggestion

Re: Pontoon Trailer bunk support repair/replace

Thanks Micahhaase
I'll look into that. Hey I picked up a engine lift at Harbor Freight for 99 bucks. Had a coupon that was on a circular that came in the mail. Already had a lift that I bought years ago. I can lift the boat with the center eyes no sweat. Pull the trailer and leave the boat on blocks or wherever. I have a buddy who is a welder. Unfortunately he's 80 miles away. Might have to go that route though.
