Pontoon Water Glide, does it work??

Hello, has anyone here every installed a waterglide on there pontoon boat? I would like some input other than what the webpage has to say, here’s the link.<br /> <br /> http://www.pontoonwaterglide.com/ <br /><br />Looks like a good idea.

Interesting product. It makes a lot sense and is somewhat validated by the new 3 toon boats.

If those are just hollow shells (no floatation), wouldn't a hydrofoil of some sort work just as well? It would be even lighter and wouldn't have a chance of interfereing with water flow to the outboard.

On the webpage there's a picture of a cross section showing foam, look like about 4-6".

EDIT, wow I just realized this was a bump from a long time ago

I've got something similar on my toon ( 2001 Crest ) it came on the boat, I always wondered what it was for, my engine is mounted to the back of mine ??

some type of hydrofoil ??

that is the structure that mounts your transom... it also diverts waves away from the outboard
