I always thought the Russian Aristocracy was brought down by starving people due to poor leadership......Hunh!........:)

You've really put your foot in your mouth on this one Haut. You've just stated the the Ruskies failed because the Gubment could not take care of them. (read my sig)

Gubments do not take care of people, like you and yours advocate. Gubments are there to clear the playing field then get the hell out'da way so the people can take care of themselves.

But in your leftist view of the world, you've turned it upside down. You have absolutely denied the recent history that you so ignorantly tried to invoke.

The Soviet government failed, precisely, because they tried to micro manage their population. And they did not try to micro manage for the peoples benefit. They micro managed to keep the people down so they could retain power. This was true whether it was Czarist Russia or the Commie Soviet. That is exactly where the American Left is trying to go.

Whether or not this is your goal, and I do doubt that it is, you are blindly following the Pied Piper of Utopia.

Like I said before, Algore is an attention seeking, power hungry, megalomaniacal Bozo.

Sure they are, but they are cut from the same cloth, and fail for the same reason.

Show me one case in history where communism was a sucsess? (please don't mention China, I know you are smarter than that. :p )

I guess that means that you like communism. Why am I not surprised! Aristocracy means nothing. Britain has an aristocracy. Does that equate to the Czarist aristocracy? Show me one example of a communist government that has not been repressive.

You try to justify your socialist leanings with nonsense!

If your hero, Algore runs for president, it will be the greatest show on Earth. (Do I hear Bozo, baby?) In otherwords, a circus. If little Bush just barely got by him, wait until he encounters any number of other possible conservative candidates.

Let the Show begin.8)

When there argument sucks, leave it to the neo-cons to attack the man's house. Denouncing Vice President Gore for the size of his household electric bill.

Gore’s family has taken numerous steps to reduce the carbon footprint of their private residence, including signing up for 100 percent green power through Green Power Switch, installing solar panels, and using compact fluorescent bulbs and other energy saving technology.

Green Power Switch (that means he pays a premium on his bill to support green energy sources), solar panels, compact fluorescents and carbon offsets......nope, guess he's a hypocrite. Let's make fun of the man. After all, he might want to do something positive for the country.

http://www.tva.gov/greenpowerswitch/

Sounds like the swift boat crowd has started their engines now that they have some serious competition in the race. Yep, they must really be afraid he's going to run.... they are in total Swift Boat mode now. Lets have a closer look at the source.

Last year, a seemingly amateurish Youtube video mocking the "An Inconvenient Truth" turned out to have been produced by a Republican public relations firm called DCI, which just happens to have oil giant Exxon as a client. (Swift Boat?)Kinda looks like it to me.

And now the following group comes on line calling it self “the Tennessee Center For Policy Research” sends out a press release denouncing Former Vice President Gore for his household electric bill. Hmm, another full fledged Swift boat attack.

<<A s of Feb. 16, the Tennessee tax dept. considers them "not a legitimate organization" because of their misrepresenting themselves involving questions about the group's opposition to a state crackdown on drug dealers.>> My o my wonder what this is all about?

Lets have a look see and see if we can find out who these people are? I ran a check thru Alexa, and if they are the legit, Non-partisan Organization, that they claim to be, the sight gets no traffic.
The only links on there sight is to far-right, and conservative groups, sure smells like a swift boat sight to me.

>><< Tennessee Center's President Drew Johnson comes straight out of the right's network, coming from Exxon-funded American Enterprise Institute>>Yep definitely a Swift boater.

Ahha yes, here it is. I can here the Swift Boats humming along twenty months ahead of schedule.

Sure tree, let the poor man have his Dacha. Just because, inspite of all his improvements, that he uses 20 times the purchased electrical power of the average home, he deserves to be given some slack. Especially in view of his attempts to make the common man feel guilty for his paltry power use.

You're reaching reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeal far to uphold this Bozo.

Do I hear a circus coming to town, baby?

And what about the jets and limo's he uses? Are they "earth friendly" Back on topic, he is a hypocrite. Same as Hollywierd, jet around the world to tell us how bad we are. He's a joke.

But after losing to President Bushin 2000 and after he finally emerged he did look like he lived in a cave.

Re: Poor Al Gore, the hypocrite......

Tree, when you say "Swift Boats", it only means people that knew what was going on, or were there and gave their testimony to the facts as they saw them... come on, do you really believe that the 50 or so that made the "swift boat" commercials about Kerry were lying?..... all of them? WHY? Why would they lie? What was their gain?

The fact remains, Algor doesn't practice what he preaches. None of the cliches, none of the smoke and mirrors, none of the money spent to mediate the fact that he pollutes, 20 to 100 times more than you and I changes anything.

By his own words to the rest of us, he is a big cause of Global Warming. Hypocritical by any rational standard.

So, are you going to “Swift Boat” me on that? :p

Everything in your post is drivel.......
The 'Doodyheads' are dittoing in their pants right about now......
If he really wanted to ride the crest his movie would have been released this year.......
I do chuckle at your view with regard to the fact that if anyone doesn't share your view then they are surely a communist........
Mc Carthyism at its best......;)How come I don't hear any whining about Chavez & his edict to nationalize Venezuelan oil while 'Dummy" sleeps......
We'll get to that.....Later......
I wouldn't want to change the subject....;)

OK can you really smart guys explain something to me?
What does "carbon neutral" really mean?
I think its a pass for rich people (Libs) like AlGore to get a pass
in the media.
He tells me to turn down my heat while he consumes more power in one month than I do in a year!
What a traitor

Luv this post Link! Straight, to the point, could cause some critical thinkin' for the Fuzzies n' Libs 'round here. Algore has been the poster child for hyporacy for quite some time: folks! I know that's a real shock to some of you, after readin' yer posts here. Daddy Gore gets real rich n' powerfull with a snuggle ta big Oil n' big Tobacco. Ol' Al, (the li'l warm Fuzzy borin' guy) figures out "thars gold in them thar hills" by scarrin' the Democrats n' Liberals n' Fuzzies 'bout the environment n' all, so off he goes burnin' lots o' fossil fuel ta get a movement, (a bowel movement to those of us with critical thinkin' skills). Makes a real Kool bovine feces movie 'bout CO2 n' scarry warmin' things n' wins a BIG award from the Liberals fer lyin' (n' passin' Lib gas,[sorry Rubber, ol' Al is a larger source o' greenhouse gas then you are]) ta the lemmings n' all. Then ol' Al makes up this real Kool scheme, (one of ol' Al's favorite words BTW), ta buy somethin' noboby with a funtionin' brain cell believes due ta ol' Al's previous shananigans creatin' an agreement where the USA pays taxes n' fees to a big Liberal scheme so his buds the Chinese can get ahead, (called the Kyoto Protocol for those not payin' attention ta ol' Al, [he is sooooo borin' that he can sneak up on ya if ya understandably go ta sleep n' all]). So ol' Al has cornvinced some of us who aren't payin' attention that he can have a 10,000 foot square house that has lots o' fancy n' real popular CO2 savin' gagits that facinate Libs n' Fuzzies, (but this house burns up 20 times the normal amount of energy) n' if ol' Al jus' buys some "carbon credits", (extra credits for real warm n' Fuzzy stories n' all), the Libs n' Fuzzies jus' luv it and all say together: AL IS WALKING THE WALK. (If ya say it long enough ya might actually believe it n' all). Sorry for the rant but Algore is a CLOWN!:}:} JR

Re: Poor Al Gore, the hypocrite......

I have this sneaking suspicion that when all is said and done, carbon credits will be roughly as legitimate as that money people give to charity for those "children" in Africa you get the picture of but the money probably just goes in someones pocket. Sorry to sound cynical, but getting to buy yourself out of environmental responsibility while the working man gets the blame for destroying the earth just sounds like crap.

I don't know, my crappy house, while on the water (which is handy for the boat) is bollocks compared to the McMansions Of Excess all around me. Why on earth my neighbor needs a garage that is bigger than my house is beyond me (there isn't a single real tool in there), but at least he doesn't go around telling people to be enviro-friendly. He just gets into his $$$Kibota$$$ tractor to clear the snow off of a driveway that would be easier to clear with a snowblower and goes about his business. But I digress...

When Gore moves into a reasonable house that consumes a reasonable amount of energy, then I'll pay attention. Otherwise he is just another rich dude spending loot because he can. He might be fooling some, but he is not fooling me. He worries me just as much now as he did in 2000...

Re: Poor Al Gore, the hypocrite......

Very Good Jason, (sorry I try to avoid replies to you but could not help this one as you were so right on as you many times are). Clear, crisp, (it does have the straw man for effect, [your rich neighbor n' all]), but it works for me because it is just plain: common sense. Ruby Ridge island, (that I own) is very similar in many ways that also strike me. I don't have shore power or shore water, (but the BIG FELLA up top side, [that's GOD sorry: Bro Haut] sends lotsa wet stuff that I can collect on the 150 foot high rock on RR Island, [a natural water tower]) and I have to used the ol' brain cell to figure out how to make things work. I am very eco friendly, (both on purpose, [by design], and out of necessity). There is enough trees, ferns, moss et al on ol' RR island ta offset my ol' Mercs n' the SUV, n' my n' Rubber's gas too! My rich Microsoftie or California immigrent neighbors have all the latest n' greatest toys n' things, but I probably have more fun with my ol' Mercs n' all. Sorry ta bug ya Jason but: good Job! Respectfully JR
