Very Good Jason, (sorry I try to avoid replies to you but could not help this one as you were so right on as you many times are). Clear, crisp, (it does have the straw man for effect, [your rich neighbor n' all]), but it works for me because it is just plain: common sense. Ruby Ridge island, (that I own) is very similar in many ways that also strike me. I don't have shore power or shore water, (but the BIG FELLA up top side, [that's GOD sorry: Bro Haut] sends lotsa wet stuff that I can collect on the 150 foot high rock on RR Island, [a natural water tower]) and I have to used the ol' brain cell to figure out how to make things work. I am very eco friendly, (both on purpose, [by design], and out of necessity). There is enough trees, ferns, moss et al on ol' RR island ta offset my ol' Mercs n' the SUV, n' my n' Rubber's gas too! My rich Microsoftie or California immigrent neighbors have all the latest n' greatest toys n' things, but I probably have more fun with my ol' Mercs n' all. Sorry ta bug ya Jason but: good Job! It's all good, I started buying boxers, so that cuts down on the binding... . The Prez's Crawford place sounds great to me. The whole geothermal deal is being used more and more, and it just makes sense to me. You have the comfort without the expense, whats not to like. And the house isn't built out of haybails or tires or whatever.

I'm the last person to preach environmental stuff, I am an exterminator who applies chemicals to houses and such (yeah I did law enforcement for a little while but the ulcers started kickin in and you can only deal with the dirtbags so long, it takes a special breed). There isn't a single vehicle we have that has less than 8 cylinders except the boat. We just try to do the best we can with what we have, by planing trips to town better (not wasting a gallon of gas for a $1.29 item). We run our house as efficiently as we can. We have a wood stove, but that is a pain, and it puts more carbon in the atmosphere than the electricity we consume, and does not save us a cent, so the wood stove remains unused.

Sounds like you have a sweet setup OMR...

Not sweet yet Jason but I'm workin on it. I can't live there year 'round cause the Lake can freeze over, n' unless ya have a hovercraft you could be in a heap o' trouble if you had a heart attack or something serious. That said: I'm slowly but surely settin' it up for some R n' R, n' I will probably be somewhere warmer when the ol' lake is frozen from time ta time. JR

When Gore moves into a reasonable house that consumes a reasonable amount of energy, then I'll pay attention. Otherwise he is just another rich dude spending loot because he can. Well Jason, he certainly has been able to fool the likes of our not so Critical Thinker Haut, he has the wool pulled clean over Haut's eyes. It must be something that the Dems put in the water, in King County, 'cause he has most of the residents snowed as much as Haut.

But hey, it's really ok, because Algore's extravagant and excessive use of electricity is nullified because Algore 'invests his money in alternative sources of energy production' (puke)

Oh Haut, I know your mind is addled by drinking the water up there in Seattle, but that will never fly. Algore a possible dark horse? Okay, I'll give you that. But Hillary as VP? Not on your life. It's not a matter of the addled half voting for her, it is a matter of the Queen wouldn't stand for it. She has been so meticulously grooming herself (with a bit of help) for the top spot, she would never go for second place. Heck, she hardly stands behind her husband.

She'd scratch Algores eyes out given half a chance, she hates him.

We smoked 'em out Eric! Only thing I know for sure is me Bro is very smart n' says things that are very astute. I think he is potentially right about ol' Al too. The Queen o' Mean may blast Al as well, but she would take the second spot if she thinks that would win. Hill is also all about winnin' ya know. N' lord only knows 'bout the possibilities for Al if Hill is in the line o' succesion, (I sure wouldn't be comfy if I were on top n' Hill could step in for some unknown reason). I doubt Hill would do anything real drastic, but ol' Al really is mentally unstable. Think about his record: does it add up?
