My 84 Johnson Sailmaster often skips when I try to trottle up. In idle and very low rpm, it generally runs smoothly. As soon as I try to increase trottle, it seems like it is only running on one cylinder...sputters, etc. Usually, after running for awhile at low rpm, I can ease into higher rpm and eventually it will run full tilt. I have run at full throttle once there and avoid running at lower rpm when I can. I've changed the plugs 4 times this season with no perceivable change, started over with fresh fuel twice, tried a new fuel line, and checked easily observed areas. Any ideas?
