Poppit brass part (remove/install)

Hello

I just got my two new poppit metal pieces today. And it seems I have to reuse my old 90 degree brass fitting because the piece did not come with one.

Two questions please...

Removal of old brass fitting
I Soaked some CRC freeze out on it but it wont budge. Can I heat it abit? What is the best way to get it out intacted?

Installation of old brass fitting
Do I need to put anything on the threads to help it seal? And whats the best way to install?


If I knew it wasn't coming with a fitting I would have bought one, now I'm in a pickle , it's gonna take 3-4 days which I dont have.

Got it out. Had to mount it on a block of wood then TINY bit of heat follow by a cool off from CRC FreezeOut.

Now does the threads need a sealant/plumbers tape?

Or anti sieze to keep it clean?
