Hopefully this is the last silly question. I am finally ready to mount new 115 and need help with one thing...where do the cables from the battery go..neg and pos. on the motor?

positive goes to the starter, negative goes to an engine ground.....so yes to the motor.

Actually, it will go to the starter solenoid. Not the starter itself, or the starter will run everytime you hook the battery up.

More specifically, there are two large terminals on the starter solenoid. One of them has a connection that feeds the starter. The other is where the POS cable goes.,
