When I turned my navigation lights on, they do come on, but my fuel gauge goes way right (super full), and my battery charge gauge drops out.

Any ideas where to start looking?

Bruce

'96 SeaRay 175 w/ '96 Johnson 175.
Is this new? Or is this something that has been true since last wiring job?

Sounds like a wiring error to me. Turning on the lights is putting 12v on the output side of the fuel level sensor and on the ground side of the voltmeter.
It has always been there since I bought the boat second hand. Not sure what kind of wiring work was done to it.

Is it just a matter of following wires do you think or am I going to have to get a multimeter and test a lot of connections?
I think JB is right, it is miss wired. I would start tracing the wires from the light switch to the fuel gauge to the voltmeter. You probly don't need a meter yet, but it may come in handy. I bet there is a common wire that is hooked to all three gauges that is hooked up wrong.
