Re: possibly lifter/ cylinder out
Its been a few months, and the boat is now in storage. I'm having spring fever a little early, so I thought I'd reminicse and read this old post.
Then I realized I didn't thank all of yall for the top notch advice. Now where are my manners
Couldn't have done it without you guys. Thanks so much.
Hope all is well.
PS as an aside we ended up putting in the new cam ourselves, and we were also able to put the new gear on also, a metal gear this time instead of composite, so its not gonna slip ever again. The belt pulley went on real easy after lifting the engine and using a porta-power and 8x8 wood beam across the seats to push it on. Of course I'm sure it wasn't so good for the transom, but it did the trick, as risky as it might of been in recollection. Can't wait for next season, and what it may have in store...
