My "before" for the Lyman was too big to upload. There is no "before" for the Ray. She's been garage kept since new in '84.

Re: Post 2 Pic's of your Boat

I am one pathetic human being. We are going to have our warmest day of the year this weekend here in Alabama (high 60's low 70's) and I can't hit the water because of youth soccer. So, went downstairs, changed the lower unit gear oil, rolled it out of the basement, and fired her up so she could talk to me for a little bit. Well, that was until my neighbor came outside and stared at me....:)

WOW What great work, all of you. I've been wanting a smaller second boat just for quick trips to the beach, to pull skiers, etc. but can't afford to spend a bunch. I had thought about getting a "fixer-upper" but hesitate because I have little experience in that much restoration and concerned about the amount of time it will take.
If some of you don't mind responding could you tell how much experience you had going into your restoration and how much time it took.
Thanks

Absolutely zero experience. And I would have never had attempted it without the awesome help at iboats. I can't even hammer a nail without breaking a finger. So don't hesitate. If you do decide to go this route, take your time and ask lots of questions. What a great feeling to see that first run after a build. Nothing like it.

Here's my 1988 Sea Ray Servile 135 V6 20 footer. She's going to the shop to be painted and insides redone.
