Try posting again ... Don't know why ... Hardware error? Software error? User error? I check and nothing there, nothing deleted ... Let's see what happens when you post again.

When did you attempt to make the new post? (Day & approximate time)

Re: Posted question, But dose not show up

I commonly make the error of typing out a post, then hitting the back button instead of the Post Quick Reply button. The post is lost and must be re-entered. I think that error is easier when the PQR button is below the screen.

If I scroll the whole reply box up into the screen I don't make that error.

A mistake I have made a few times is to hit the blue +Reply to Thread button (upper left just above the text box) instead of the Post Quick Reply button located below and to the right of the text box.

If you have a lengthy or detailed post, I recommend that you type it into a Word or other text document, then copy and paste into your post. That avoids any problems with getting "timed out" and losing your typing. For us 2 finger typists, that's a real pain. I usually don't save the original document, just blow it away after posting successfully. - Grandad

What do you mean, "Thanks anyway" there is no way we can tell you what happened, but everyone gave you information on things to watch out for when posting. We ALL hit the wrong button at times and loose our posts.

I don't show anything limiting the OP, he should be allowed to post in the public forums. I'll keep an eye to see if there continues to be an issue.

This one posted. So just do it the same way in the other threads. Did the new post in boat topics and questions ( Not engine related) ever appear?

Re: Posted question, But dose not show up

Explain (IN Detail) what you are doing and in which forum. As mentioned, you have replied to this thread, and you did start a new thread in the Electrical forum, so we know that works.
After you post, be sure to hit your refresh or reload button so you can see it, and be sure you hit the right button.

It's also possible you are timing out (usually around 15 minutes) and not being logged in when you finally post, especially if you are slow typing, or doing something else while typing. If that happens your reply will be gone. To get around that, when you log in, be sure to check the "Remember Me" box so you can stay logged in. Then your message won't disappear.

Hey Wheelybin,

Are you still experiencing this issue? We have extended the time limit, so you should be okay now.

There is a super easy fix, on your end. Just put a check mark in the "Remember me" box when you log in, then you can spend all day typing your post without it logging you out.

Of course make sure you do as Don recommends as well.
