Ok, here's the skinny...

My aunt/uncle had the chainsaw that was my grandparents. The thing sat around for about 2 years(maybe more), with gas in it. I need to use the thing, so I borrow it from them.

Obviously, it doesn't want to start right away. I pull the starter, eventually getting it to pop. Only about 1/2 tank of gas, so I get some new stuff and fill it up. Get it to pop, then start on the new gas.

Runs ok now, until about 30 minutes into a job. Then it wants to croak when I try to use it, and give it gas. I can get it to fire back up(sometimes have to use the choke), but it will start and run for a bit. Give it some throttle again, and eventually starts to die.

Any ideas? I plan to clean out the air filter, and replace the fuel filter. All the old gas is gone by now. And I've been using premium gas, in the hopes of cleaning out the crud, and not having to rebuild/clean the carb.
