No power to my jack plate!
Any ideas?

Previously when I hit the switch I could hear the pump start but it didn't move, now after doing extensive work on my engine it won't do anything so I'm lost and don't know where to start. Already tried to trace wires to no evail, please help.
Thanks,
Ben

Re: power built jack plate

its an old power lift jack plate, the one where the pump is on the outside of the jack, i also read today the company that makes the pump went out of business and also the company that made the actuator went out of business so cmc jack plates use a different company for their supplies. the whole thing in a nutshell, i need a new jack plate that i can't afford right now lol

Re: power built jack plate

You can probably fix it.

Don't give up.

Check the relays for power and that they are good, they work just like a trim and tilt.

And just like trim and tilts the wiring, relays and switches go bad and can be a pain.

Once you have the electric worked out and the motor runs then figure out the hydraulics.

Don't give up post pics and troubleshoot.
