That schematic for the 2 cylinder CDI would not work for our engines. That version in the schematic fires both plugs simultaneously (not a problem for a 2 cylinder 4 stroke) through one ignition coil. It still uses only one charge coild and one trigger coil, but remember, most Evinrude/Johnson 2 cylinder engines have 2 magnets in the fly wheel. One for each cylinder, each facing a different direction (north/south poles flipped around) to fire the correct cylinder, and mounted 180? from each other. I don't think that would work well with that version of CD ignition, only one magnet would fire a plug due to the polarity.
