I just talked to the boat guy and he says that my power pak may be bad and I was just woundering if there is a way to test the pak before I buy one. There is no fire and it is a 1985 Johnson 60Hp and I would like to know if there is a way to test it. I just don't want to buy one if that is not the fix you know. I did not want the guy working on it any further because at 85 an hour it could get expensive and I would just like to do as much as I can myself to save money. The motor turns over fine now that he got the flywheel free from the timer base and there is still no fire and he thinks this is the next step to take. I would still like to test the stator but I really don't understand what it should be reading I fould the brown and brown/yellow wires but don't understand how to test them. I am getting the book I just would like to testing somethings before it gets here so I don't have to wait a few days if it something easy I can test with out the book. Any help would be great.
