I have 2 white wires coming out of the bottom of my Power Pilot control case and have no idea what they are for. The ends are stripped so I'm assuming the PO had attached them to something.
Re: Power Pilot Controls- Identify 2 wires coming out of bottom of case?
maybe tach wires..or kill switch. or tilt and trim or neutral safety wires...that about covers it..need to open the box up and see what color wires they come from.
Bingo! Or at least I think they are. Opened up the controls and the white wires hanging out were spliced into a gray wire(tach?) and the other one was grounded to the case.
I've opted against a tiny tach and am going to get a DMM with inductive pickup for diagnostic purposes. But I am going to keep an eye out for a cheap used boat tach to mount in the dash. What do kind of tach do I need to be looking for? (1977 75hp 3-cyl).
