power pilot interchange

What is involved or will it work if I use a 1979 power pilot for a 1976 115 motor?

if motor end of cable will work on the motor. there was a change in 1979. you really need a 1978 or earlier control.

Thanks for such a quick response. I believe I've got the throttle cable and shift cable to hook up but I'm concerned about the electrical connections are these the changes you referred to, could you be more specific. Thanks Art

you have the big red plug on your wiring harness, it is just plug and play. they are alike since 1973.
