I have a 1996 60 hp Evinrude that I removed the VRO sytem on I now mix my gas as required ( 50:1) I've plugged the VRO line as prescribe, but I'm still not getting full power on the motor until I've runned the boat for about 15 minutes. After it finally "kicks in", it runs fine for the rest of the day. Is there a way to remedy this? Thank you.

Sounds like there may be other issues to diagnose. Give it a basic health check and post your findings.
What pump are you currently using ???
Check the following.
Compression
Spark
Fuel delivery
Spark plug condition

Let's go from there.

Thank you. I'm not sure what pump you're are talking about. The compression is fine and I've put in new spark plugs. It fires up right away, even if it's been sitting for a few weeks. It works like a dream after I've been on the lake for about 15 -20 minutes. ?

Fuel side of pump may be giving issues. Air intrusion in the gas line is a possibility or you have one of those really difficult to detect electrical (spark) issues that goes away as the motor warms up and is used.

Thank you for you help. I will check out the fuel line closely and see if there is any air coming in.
