Re: power products outboard

What you have there is a Power Products lawn mower engine that somebody has adapted to a 3.6hp Scott-Atwater exhaust housing and lower unit. I don't know where in blazes he found the orange adapter housing. Even has the Scott-Atwater tiller handle on it.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I wouldn't have a clue how much you can get for it. Not very much from anybody in the know about old outboards. But good luck, who knows???

I noticed that too! You have to use air cooled engine oil. Not outboard oil.

Hats off to F-R for knowing what he was looking at. Wow!

Re: power products outboard

that air cooled motor could easily be 16:1 mix. ive had lawnboy mowers ( somewhat modern) that spec'd at 20:1.

Noval Idea...Ice auger reduction gear box IMHO but the flywheel and carb are a inigma and I think the engine was meant for cold weather operation and does have the auger digger base....but I swear its ingenious a Frankenstein type creation...but hats off to the old Norwegian who cobbled it together....I would go $25 easy
