I would remove and pressure test the power steering cooler. Did you run it empty with the power steering pump still hooked up with a belt. If so you might have toasted the bearings in the pump. Do you see any power steering fluid in the bilge?

If the power steering cooler has a leak, it could leak into the cooling water and you would see it on your driveway if you run the boat with muffs.

You do know that you need to drain this cooler of water before winter if you are in a climate that freezes right?
