Greetings,
I'm running a 1989 4.3L Mercruiser Alpha One in my boat. I recently discovered an oil leak in my driveway directly below the drain plug hole. Upon further inspection, I narrowed it down to a leak in the power steering system. I know this to be true because of the low level in the power steering reservoir. I looked at all the hoses and I am 90% sure that the leak is coming from the cylinder at the rear of the engine compartment. All of the fittings are tight and the hoses are all "dry" on the outside. What are my options? What's it gonna cost? Can this be done by a DIY'er with average mechanical skills and a full complement of tools? Thanks all in advance.
