power steering question.......twin bravo's

i am rigging a '05 30 footer with twin 305 merc/bravoIII's efi.

i did not pull the motors.

each motor has a power steering pump...cooler and hook ups off the coolers.

the problem is that there is only the starboard steering ram. the port does not have one.
the hoses do not look long enough to use them in series.

where do the port sides hook up to?

You have to hook the pressure and return lines together on the engine with the unused pump. The fluid then just circulates and does nothing.

i was hoping they had more of a purpose than just sitting there connected....but oh well !
