Does anyone know the difference in omc and other brands. My shop manual says to use omc or dexron transmission fluid. I can't get omc in my area. I can get mercruiser, but I didn't know if there was a difference or it came out of the same tap.
I am a little sceptical on dexron, however it may be safe.

I don't think those pumps are real particular about what ya put in 'um. I use Dextron in my OMC t&t and 10W30 in my old Mercury log splitter and they both work. I wouldn't hesitate using the Dextron.

c/6
Hooty
