power tilt/trim

I have a 93-88 horse power evenrude motor with a power trim. I do not know how to put the power trim fluid in the power trim. I was told to take out both the bottom screw and the top screw and put the fluid in the bottom. This did not work. Can any one help.<br />thanks,<br />Rick

Sounds like someone was telling you how to change the lower unit lube, not how to add trim fluid. I don't have a clue what two screws you were trying to work with.<br /><br />There should be a filler cap right on the trim pump. <br /><br />Why are you adding fluid? Was the trim unit working or not?<br /><br />Usually you add fluid at the same location where you check the fluid level.

The motor had been working fine the power trim just quit going up or down. I was told to add more fluid. I had no idea where to check the fluid level or how to add the fluid. I still am not sure where the filler cap or the trim pump is located. You can hear the motor running when you try to lower or raise the motor. The power trim motor seems to be working fine. I bought this pontoon boat last year. This is all new to me.
