Re: power tilt

Yes, you need to leave the tilt (trim pin) in. Just set it to the lowest point you want your engine to go.

The manual tilt lock can be deployed as insurance. Power tilts can sometimes "drift" down.

In either case, neither the trim pin or tilt lock interfere with the tilt only units.

Confused If The Tilt Lock Is In Place How Will The Motor Raise
Understand About The Pin For Lowest Setting But Would Have To Leave In Release Always So I Could Raise As Needed Is This Correct???? Dont Want To Do This Manualy Looks Like The Cylinder Would Hold It Good Enough For Reverse

Re: power tilt

You're right, I confused the tilt lock with the "Trailer" lock which locks the engine up.

The tilt lock MUST be disengaged for the tilt to work. Yes, the tilt unit will hold it in reverse.

Sorry for the confusion.
