Old style "Type A" power tilt & trim with an old style single solenoid. Pump motor runs, but only down, not up. Tilt limit override clicks when you press the "Trailer" button. Trim controls are in the Quicksilver throttle arm.

Any tips to troubleshoot to determine if it's the switch vs the solenoid? What do I jump the light blue/white trim up wire to in the throttle arm to bypass the switch to see if the solenoid works? What else should I check? I'm not 100% sure I got it all wired up correctly when I put this newer trim motor in...

I have an old dual solenoid setup I could swap in, but is THAT any good... And I have to remember how to hook it up!

If the motor runs down and it clicks on up you have a bad solenoid--Bob

It doesn't click on up. It does absolutely nothing when I hit the Trim Up.

do you have 12v at the sol.when up is pressed?if net could be a bad switch.if you have 12v and no click sol. coil most likely open.
