Power trim not going up on port engine??

Boat was dry docked for two years. Trim won't go up on port engine when pushing the trim switch. I could hear the solenoid click, but that's about it. I climbed down into the engine bay and jumped the solenoid and the outdrive went up with no problem. Any idea's b4 I take things apart???

What is the boat year, size engine (serial number would be good but probably not necessary), which outdrive are the question referring to?

sorry, it's a1997 4.3 v6, Alfa1 GenII

If it works when you push the trailer up switch then it is most likely the trim limit switch or the outdrive, the up switch on the control handel or connections between. If it does not go up using the trailer switch it is probably the blue/white wire connection going through the trim pump connector.

It was a bad switch connection inside the throttle handle. The wires were stretched and frayed.
