Some May remember me posting about me suspecting that I had a relief valve opening when trimming up towards the upper limit, on my new model merc 115 2.1l CT. I didn’t think too much of it, not being used to an outboard in recent times...but was further concerned when I noticed the outboard would creep down by an inch or so over a week or two.
then just the other day, the outboard had fallen all the way down since I last checked it 3 weeks ago.
I then asked a friend who is a merc dealer. He then told me that this had become a known issue of recent mercs and mercury have now since made an improved set of valves to stop this. Anyone else had issues with their newer type merc ?
I have attached a schematic. The valves are items 3 and 4
