Hi folks, I have a question concerning my trim/tilt function. Excuse me on any terminology flubs as this is new to me. I have my 1979 Johnson 115 V4{115TL79R} hanging on my motor stand, and would like to know how or if I can lower it to a more level position. I didn't lower it enough when I removed it, and I'm unsure how one would go about doing this with no power hooked up, heck I don't even know if it's electric assisted or hydraulic or magic{lol - sad - yes I know}....here's a photo I hope will make what I'm referring to a little clearer, I'm wondering how the piston shafts{ see arrow's} can be...'with-drawn' so to say. Appreciate any help you can offer!

follow your wires up to the connector, black goes to neg.if you bring pos.to the GREEN wire, the motor will go down.Blue is up,easy way to remember,BLUE SKY IS UP,GREEN GRASS IS DOWN,if you go up,be sure its staable,I saw many engines flip over frontward

Re: Power trim/tilt question

Ground black and power green for down and blue for up. Green=grass: down and blue=sky: up. Hope this helps.
