Power trim V150 mercury

Have not used the boat for about 18 months. This weekend gave her a check out and the power trim is not working. When I switch either up or down all I get is a click sound from down around the pump. Do you think that over time the pump has frozen or do you think there could be something else wrong. The engine is a 150 black max early 80's. Thank you all in advance.

Check all your connections and make sure they are clean and tight.

Was the motor stored for that period of time in the down position?<br /><br />Did you see any oil leaking from anywhere or on the ground before working on it? <br />It's possible it just is low or has leaked all fluid as the resevoir is under pressure while in the down position.

Sounds like a siezed trim pump motor.
