power trim will not go up or down

1993 mercury mariner with single ram power trim recently took off of outboard trim motor still runs in the up and down but ram dose not move,are these possible to rebuild ? if so where do i find kit ?

yes. they are possible to rebuild but not a home garage friendly job. check ebay.

however, you may not need rebuild.
1st, is it a new trim motor? If so, then you may just have the wrong driveshaft length.
2nd, is the manual release valve screwed in? It is the big nylon screw on bottom right.
Third, is it possible the trim motor was swapped but fluid never refilled?

its is not a new trim motor, and the manual release valve is screwed in, just got the boat and fluid appears full

your manual release is probably broken off inside the manifold.

you have to extract stub without scratching aluminum, break down and flush pump, reassemble with new MRV. No point not replacing 20 year old ram seals while you're in there. It'll take you all day with a 50/50 chance of success. they key to success is getting out the broken MRV without harming the aluminum or creating debris. The manifold has internal recesses where debris can catch and interfere with rocker arm mechanism.

alternatively - and better - sometimes you'll see the manifold & pump for sale on ebay or craiglist as old stock liquidation. jump on that.
