I have a Force 125 on a 16' bayliner cobra sometime's the trim works and sometime's it dont. Could it be a bad battery? the switch has power to it. just looking for input. Dont know much about this motor. thanks.

Re: Power trim

These trim/tilt setups are suceptable to loosing thier ground. Check all of the main ground lugs (black wires, mounted under bolts) that go to and from the area of the CD/Coil bracket. If you find a loose, corroded, or otherwise-bad one, you found the problem, and may have saved your CD pack from an early demise in the process.
If this does not solve your problem, you may need to replace the two solenoids. But fear not...They're dirt-cheap, and can be taken to your local auto parts store and cross-referenced for under 10 buks each.
Immagine that...A cheap boat part! :D
