power washing boats

I just inheritated a 3000 psi power wash. Can I damage my gel coat with this unit? Is this the best way to get rid of the water line?<br />Thanks,<br />Eroc

You should be alright with the pressure washer as long as you dont put it 1/4 inch from the surface. Position it so it has enough power to remove the "waterline" but no so close as to engrave your name with it! (about 2 inches or so).<br />You'll find a pressure washer is a joy because of how fast it can get the job done.<br />Nav.

I find that a little tsp and bleach works well to remove any stains on a boats <br /><br />ps <br />this will remove skin
