All,
In my late dads estate all his outboards and parts were titled over to me.
So for example a 1962 40Hp Lark which consists of just its powerhead was actually titled and then released to me.
The powerhead has good compression and includes carb,flywheel,etc. So I would hate to see it go to waste.
All of my dads old outboards are now running and either sitting on a boat or nicely on a stand ready for use.
During this mechanical challenge I find myself more on the water then ever and have picked up/rescued a few other outboards to the point I have a small collection...not all show worthy but very dependable and runnable.
So I have this remaining Lark powerhead and I will be going to the Constantine meet this Saturday. It is my first meet but I have been told there will be a part swap area so I have made my list but I have this question;
What can I use this outboard powerhead on; ie years etc.
I believe the 1962 was the year with the troublesome electric shift...Can I use this powerhead in a more stable lower unit....If so, please provide years etc.
Thanks,
Chris
