Hi, im replacing powerhead bolts that bolt the powerhead to the exhaust/middle section.
These bolts on outboards ive worked on often seem to seize due to their positioning in the salt spray zone. Ive twisted the head off some of these bolts before which were done up for over a decade. Getting them out after that really is not great times.
Should i put in stainless steel high tensile or is just stainless ok? I intend to coat them in permatex aviation form a gasket and back them out every couple of years.
