Ok, iboats has never steered me wrong. I've seen the posts about using PowerTune on the bell housing U-Joint bellow. But, my problem is the diameter of the sleeve ring and the bellow just seems too different to have the Powertune make a difference. I don't mind paying the $15 and shipping I just want to understand what the Powertune is doing and whether or not it will solve my problem. Will the Powertune cause the diameter of the bellow to shrink just a enough to get the ring in? Will Brake Cleaner have the same result It also evaporates like Powertune.

The bellow is attached properly to the groove I've double triple checked it just seems impossible to fit that sleeve in. I feel like some years back I used a dremel on my Alpha I Gen II bellows to get that ring to slide in...but maybe that was the wrong approach. Thanks for the help!

Ayuh,.... After the bellows is properly, 'n firmly seated on the housin',...

I spray a squirt of power tune 'round the diameter of the bellows, slip the ring in-place, 'n give it a little shove with a tool I made, though have done it just pushin' with my fingers,....

Brake clean, is not power tune,... Nothin' is like power tune for slippin' rubber parts into metal parts,... or vice versa,...

Thanks Bondo. I did find the source of my problem. It was failure to follow the directions correctly! I didn't position the bellows correctly on the bell housing. I put the first groove of the bellows onto the bell housing when it should have been the second groove. Unfortunately, I need a new bellows because I ground down the edge in hopes that would correct my problem... I've re-posted the picture here from the manual so no one makes the same mistake!
