I just spoke with Rick..
Things are OK but not great by any means..May take 3 to 4 months for his house to be inhabitable...
If anybody wants to help out anyway they can, please send me a PM and I will provide a good address (once they have one..) for Rick and family.
I guess a case of mountain dew is hard to stuff in a mailbox...lol

Rick and Family,
Firstly, my prayers and thoughts go to you all. Unfortunately, I see all too often the same type of tragedy that has befallen you. People can't be replaced, but just about everything else can. The main thing to remember is that you are all still with us, and the other things will fall into place in time. Please don't hestitate to lean on any one of us for anything you may need.
Again, my thoughts and prayers and anything else I can help with go out to you all.

Howdy guys a little update my son went back to school yesterday and did fine he said it tuckered him out a little but he made it through . My Older daughter got her parole card today and is out running the town shopping for new clothes with her Mommy . I will text the info to Kev tonight but as I told him over the phone I dont want anybody here taking away from their family to help mine . We will get through this . I actually got the adjusters bid tonight for the house repairs and about fell over ( He spent ALOT more money than I think I will have to to put the house back together )( nicer than it was ) . I have already promissed Momma a Jaccuzi tub and rainshower faucette for the bathroom LOL.Thats a good thing though since I only had ( structural insurance on the house and not the contents ) . We all have a place to stay while we are out of the house and with any luck although I am planning 3-4 months if I get in there and bust my butt I may have us back in within 2 months .

It all sound great Rick. I am very glad you have an adjuster with a little common sense. I can't really speak for anyone else ( and would not try) but I am sure I can find a little money around the homestead that I can part with. I probably would waste it on something stupid anyway, like a tinney:redface: Just let me know how to get it to you, may not be much, but every little bit helps. Dale

Guys I texted a POBox and Paypal account this morning to cheapboatKev so if you wish to help PM Kev for info . I will add again I dont want any of you taking from your families to help mine sure we are in a tight spot but we will come through it .I will say in the end the house itself will be nicer than it was before the fire by the time I am done with the repairs ( this will also give me a chance to toss clutter from the house and shop that should have been tossed long ago that now needs to be tossed . )

Hey Rick, I just found out your bad news today. I try not to tread in the Starcraft 'hood. Might get beat up for coming through with a trihull. I'm really sorry for your misfortune but glad you and your family are okay. I'm sure things will work out for you and hope you have a speedy rebuild of your house. Hi guys just wanted to hop on here with a quick update . Everybody is out of the hospital and doing pretty well all things considered . The Ins. Adjuster was supposed to send his report to the Ins. company yesterday so by the end of the week with any luck we can get the house underway .

I also wanted to say thank you to Jeff, Albert and HOLY COW Clay if we make it to Tinstock how do you like your Steaks or do you prefer Lobster guys we truly do appreciate your generosity right now and I hope to thank all of you in person this summer SWMBO is singing a totally differant tune currently about ( My boat buddies ) . This is truly a great group of people here to humbly be a member of . Again thanks all of you for your thoughts , prayers , moral and otherwise support through this ordeal.

how can you have never had surf and turf???? this past summer my mom made filet mignon and MASSIVE diver scallops. i could have died a happy man after eating that meal.

Hidi Ho fellow Cult members . A little update ( the insurance company ) says I should start getting checks from them sometime next week hohohaha hehe . The oldest daughter went back to the hospital tonight with pneumonia ( they are not sure of which strain yet ) we should know more tomorrow . I want to thank Kev,Bret,Andy and EZ ( Jeramy ) for the help . I will update you guys as soon as I know more ins company is gonna stick it to me they are paying actual value and not depretiation ( which is fine I will get them in the end since I will be providing 90% of the Labor ).

Hey Guys quick update time . My older daughter should be comming back home today or tomorrow . The insurance is supposed to finally be kicking in ( should have the first check tomorrow . I have the garage door guy scheduled for tomorrow afternoon and a 28' cargo container and 40 yard dumpster scheduled for Saturday delivery . I will at that point sit SWMBO at the edge of the garage and as I haul stuff out of the house let her decide which container to put it in . Once the house is empty I will be gutting the basement to the bare walls as well as gutting the kitchen and bathroom upstairs . Then I will get the electric back up and do the structural repairs . Then I can start putting the house back together . I am hopeing to be back in the house a month from now if I can get enough work done on it while keeping my company running at the same time ( thankfully I guess I am heading into my slow season so I should have quite a bit of free time to work on the house ) . I will update you guys as I can through the rebuild . I had a customer stop by the house yesterday who asked me if the Jupiter was new made my day with all the work I have already put into her . I should be able to get my resto thread back up and running as soon as the house is livable again . I will have tpo find it as I am sure its 10 pages or more back .
