Premix in oil injected Suzuki

I'm finally retiring my '71 Johnson and switching to a '93 Suzuki 75 hp, which seems like a great motor. I still have about 25 gals of 50:1 premix. With the price of gas, I'd like to find a way to use it in the Suzuki. Is there a way to disable the oil injection temporarily?

It probably isn't necessary, Old Head.

You would be running at anywhere from about 25:1 to 40:1 using both. That won't do any harm beyond a small risk of fouling plugs or building up a little carbon.

Most oil injected OBs call for using premix plus injection during break-in, anyway.

Good luck. :)

Brown's Point Marine has an internet site and so far has been really good for parts and supplies for Suzuki. Some of the Suzuki regulars on this forum work for dealers and may be able to direct you to alternate places to purchase parts. Only problem with Suzuki engines is dealer network and parts (very few if any aftermarket parts so everything is dealer bought). WIth the Suzuki 4 stroke getting more popular, the dealer network is expanding but they'll have to order parts for the 2-strokes.
