jtexas, these are just my ramblings with out any factual basis. I want to say I love Canada and growing up in Montana not really far from there we used to family vacation there a lot. Now I live even closer and fish there a lot. Anyhow Canada is a huge country with vast natural resources that would be desirable by a lot of countries such as the former USSR, China, so on. I think that in the world probably Canada and Australia are the countries we most closely resemble or vice versa. I don't think we look at Mexico the same because of different language, etc.
I think that everyday on this board and other places you will read / hear something like "if we weren't spending so much on the military we could spend more on _____ "(fill in the blank) As most everyone that has read my posts knows I am extremely conservative so my personal feelings are to fight socialist programs but I beleive there are a lot of people that don't feel that way. 8)
