G'Day again,

I keep having the male press studs pull out of the transom. I am considering a helicoil type fix. Any other bright ideas that work?
The epoxy job the shipwright used last time lasted for a year but the hole keeps getting bigger using his method.

Epoxy the holes right over after you have made a template of the area and then get a piece of 1/4" alum. plate mount it to the inside of the transom, redrill all your holes according to the template you made you bolt patern and then use marine sealant to seal around the nuts and bolts with large flate washers you use to go right threw the transom. This will give you you a very strong and sturdy mount without the worries of it pulling threw the transom again.

Thanks Boateric,
That was my preferred solution but I don't think I can get to the back of the area I need to, might have to have another look.

Does anyone know whether the seat bolsters are easily removable?

Do you have a photo of the problem ??? I have a couple of ideas but would like to see the issue area. Close up and a wider view if possible.

Here are a couple of shots of the offending studs.
The offending studs are located on the back of the lounge (just above the top of my second photo) Having major issues with syncronizing my new phone:mad:
