I didn't pay attention much in physics class....

Say I have a pump up sprayer, presurized to 10psi, is it spraying out the end at 10psi, or is it 10 X Square inches of surface area inside the sprayer?

Re: pressure sprayer... physics question

The pressure is 10 psi throughout the sprayer including at the nozzle.

The force exerted on the sprayer wall is the area X the pressure. (Pounds/square inch X square inches = pounds)
