i have a pressurized tank and when i disconnect the hoses from the motor, the fitting going to the motor from the tank lets all the air out of the tank. is this right or is the reciever sticking? i just got the tank so i'm not sure

Re: pressurized tank ?

The pressurized air should stay in the tank. Changing the O rings in the connector at the end of the hose usually fixes it. They are about $2 each @ OMC dealer. Those connectors are very expensive so try to fix it before looking for another.

BTW, what engine is it on?

And if you're real lucky you might have the kind that has the threaded fuel/air nipps. In which case you just back them out and the pins, springs & o-rings come right out. Makes it MUCH easier to replace the o-rings! I have also pressed out the brass faces with a drill bit from the other end. They are press fit and makes for a fairly quick 5-minute job with no chance of leaving small chunks of rotted rubber inside the fitting...

Screw on nipples? Cool. I dont think I've seen those yet. But then I 've never looked closely so maybe I already have em!

...hehe I just changed my O-Rings this season. Its a simple job for the most part except dry rotted rubber pieces sticking inside the fitting as Chinewalker stated.
